A major new community-led nature recovery programme is set to transform urban neighbourhoods across Kent and Medway, helping residents take action for nature while building stronger, healthier and more connected communities.
Engage with the natural world in a mindful and creative way at Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve. Embark a gentle walk to collect natural items to create vibrant leaf artwork using the beautiful technique of hapa zome! Weekend Wellness: Walk and Leaf Printing invites you to engage with the natural world in a mindful and creative way. Using simple tools, and nature as your inspiration, you'll feel the benefits of getting out into the great outdoors at Sevenoaks
Take part in a relaxed, guided noticing nature walk and experience the outdoors in a simple, focused way. As you move at an easy pace, you’ll be encouraged to pay attention to your surroundings, spotting small details, noticing changes in the seasons, and tuning into natural sounds along the way. You will have a chance to use binoculars, eye glasses and learn about apps to help with nature identification.
Take time to slow down and walk mindfully on the beautiful Sevenoaks nature reserve soaking up the colours of the season. Then get creative by making your own nature mandala using natural materials. During this relaxed session, you’ll gather leaves, stones, and other seasonal treasures before arranging them into a simple, eye catching design that reflects the colours and patterns of the outdoors.
Take time to slow down and walk mindfully on the beautiful Sevenoaks nature reserve soaking up the colours of the season. Then get creative by making your own nature clay imprint to take home.
