What does the role involve?
- Attending an invertebrate ID training day/workshop on Saturday 29th August
- Identifying invertebrate samples to taxonomic Order level - beetles or flies for example - using our microscopes at Tyland Barn once or twice a week
Contributing to establishing invertebrate abundance and diversity across a number of our reserves
Who we’re looking for:
- We'd really like to hear from individuals with some invertebrate knowledge, although not essential, some previous knowledge is desirable
- Good attention to detail
- Willingness to learn - full training will be given

Time commitment:
We will hold twice weekly sessions at Tyland Barn, Maidstone and would ideally like you to attend at least once a week but it could be less frequent depending on your other commitments.
Things to consider before applying:
- Reasonable travel expenses can be paid
- Full training is given and you’ll only be asked to do work you are comfortable with
- The volunteer role is open to applicants over the age of 18
