It’s officially a really wild summer, and we want all of Kent to get outdoors, soak up some sun and enjoy some of Kent’s incredible wildlife and wild places at our amazing summer events. From family outdoor yoga to super safaris (with a chance of seeing our newest Blean bison residents), there’s something for the whole family to enjoy in Kent this summer holiday.
Kent Wildlife Trust is sending more than 200 knitted and crocheted marine animals and plants on tour across the county. The undersea art display – entitled ‘Woolly Watery World’ – aims to spread an important message about protecting our oceans.
Westenhanger Castle has very generously made us their Charity of the Year and we will be supporting and hosting a number of events over the year to help us celebrate. From the Easter Egg Hunt through to a Christmas market – perhaps we will see you there?
Walkers are invited to take part in the annual KM Charity Walk to support The Kent Wildlife Trust.

The only event of its kind in the Southeast, the Kent Wildlife Trust Festival of Wildlife – now in its eighth year – is back at Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve and promises to be even more entertaining for all the family.
In September 2013, with the support of the Natural History Museum, Kent Wildlife Trust and a Heritage Lottery Grant, a group of volunteers started the search for Robert Pocock’s 240 plant specimens. Come and view their results and find out more about this fascinating project.
