Blue Influencers Scheme - Dover Big Local Home Ed Group

Jenny has been supporting a group of home educated families with Dover Big Local to create their own Blue social action project. The young people have so far been involved in a range of activities, including a litter pick, river scavenger hunt and creating an edible rock pool.

Blue Influencers Scheme - Folkestone Shed Urban Wilderness project

The Shed Urban Wilderness is a community project based in Folkestone, which aims to create a space where both nature and people can coexist, working to transform a disused former plot of Network Rail land, into a pleasant, ecologically-sound community space. Jenny has been working with a group of young people to create social action projects which will have positive impacts on local blue spaces.

Blue Influencers Scheme - 8th Folkestone Guides

With Jenny's support, 8th Folkestone Guides have been developing skills in orienteering, visiting Folkestone's Pent Stream, writing to their MP about issues important to them, learning about fast fashion and plastic pollution, and even upcycling different materials.

Thanks to funding from The Ernest Cook Trust and the #iwill Fund, we have recruited Jenny Luddington to the role of Blue Mentor, who will be responsible for recruiting young people aged 10-14 to become ‘Blue Influencers’.

National Marine Week: Blue Influencers

Those of you who have been following the development of the Blue Influencers Scheme being delivered by Kent Wildlife Trust may recall that KWT successfully bid for funding from The Ernest Cook Trust and the #iwill Fund and were awarded £20,000 a year for three years. This enabled the recruitment of Jenny Luddington to the role of Blue Mentor, who will be responsible for recruiting young people to become ‘Blue Influencers’.
