Green your Halloween: Sustainable tips from Folkestone Blue Influencers
Here's how to make your Halloween sustainable, from trick-or-treating more responsibly to using the entire pumpkin.
The Shed Urban Wilderness is a community project based in Folkestone, which aims to create a space where both nature and people can coexist, working to transform a disused former plot of Network Rail land, into a pleasant, ecologically-sound community space. Jenny has been working with a group of young people to create social action projects which will have positive impacts on local blue spaces. With Jenny's support, the group are working on a range of nature based activities, including blog writing.
Still in its planning stages, the young people at the Folkestone Shed Urban Wilderness project plan to use their funding to create a small nature pond on site, to help provide a home for a range of species and provide opportunities for more people to engage with nature on site.
