Welcome to the Sandwich Bay Women's Walk!
In celebration of International Women's Day, join a team of female wardens and rangers from Kent Wildlife Trust, Sandwich Bird Observatory, and White Cliffs Countryside Partnership for an inspiring guided walk. This event offers a chance for women to unwind in nature while boosting skills and confidence in birdwatching, connecting with the environment, and meeting like-minded people!
We’ll kick off at the stunning Sandwich Bay Bird Observatory, where the education officer will share insights on their conservation efforts and the local flora and fauna. From there, we’ll take a leisurely walk to a nearby bird hide to observe migratory waders and birds of prey. Then, we’ll head down to the beach to learn about the work we’re doing to protect overwintering and beach-nesting birds at Sandwich Bay.
It’s a perfect opportunity to explore new places, sharpen your bird ID skills, and enjoy the outdoors this Spring, all while meeting some wonderful new faces. We look forward to seeing you there!
