Although I was strictly there on a day off from work, the work we do at KWT is never far from my mind. I was on the look-out for any obvious environmental themes and what we might glean from the show for the Wild About Gardens programme that fit’s within the Nature Recovery Team that I lead at the Trust.
It was also a nice warm up before our own Chelsea here in Kent, the Wild About Gardens Open Gardens, held from June until September.
So, what did I find, well for a start it was busy – and jostling around the viewing points to see the various show gardens, was a great reminder of how important and popular gardening is for people in the UK.
