About the reserve

The chalk cliff face forms most of the reserve, part of the long chain of chalk cliff that runs from Dover to Folkestone. Peregrine Falcons and Ravens can be seen flying over the cliffs, and there is hope in the future, that the released choughs will once again inhabit the cliffs. The top of the cliff forms part of the North Downs Way, that follows the famous coastline. A steep zig-zag path on the western edge of the reserve allows you to scale down the cliff and explore the mix of woodland, scrub and chalk grassland at the bottom of the cliff.
