The Fifth Continent Scheme, led by Kent Wildlife Trust, has worked with the community of Romney Marsh to create 10 new mosaic artworks, The Marsh Mosaics, inspired by the heritage and wildlife of this unique landscape. The new works will be unveiled at a special event on 21 August 2021 at the medieval church of St Nicholas in New Romney.
This free public event, showcasing three new musical compositions inspired by the heritage and wildlife of Romney Marsh, will be performed by musicians from the prestigious groups The 12 Ensemble and London Contemporary Voices.
The multi-million pound Fifth Continent Landscape Partnership Scheme is helping to restore, reclaim and rediscover the landscape of Romney Marsh. The Scheme is funded by the The National Lottery Heritage Fund and has been awarded additional funding by Arts Council England and The Lochlands Trust.
