Join a guided Walk with a Warden at Fackenden Down as the summer arrives.
Predominantly chalk grassland, Fackenden Down is classified as a Site of Special Scientific Interest. Join this guided walk of the reserve for an introduction to the orchids and pollinators that thrive in this habitat during the summer months.
This reserve is very hilly, so expect some steep inclines to climb and descend. The ground is likely to be very uneven underfoot. Please ensure you wear comfortable, sturdy footwear and dress suitably for the weather conditions.
Please note there are no toilet facilities at the reserve, and no refreshments are available to purchase on site. You are welcome to bring your own drinks and snacks, a bottle of water is recommended.
On occasion the weather, or other unexpected circumstances, may make it necessary to cancel or postpone an event. If this is the case you will be offered an alternative date or refund. Unfortunately, we cannot refund tickets if the event takes place but you choose not to attend.
