Come and join Thanet Coast Project and the Kent Wildlife Trust Pegwell Warden for a Marine Conservation Society ‘Great British Spring Clean’ and help make Pegwell Beach a safe space for wildlife again.

Enjoy the great outdoors this Spring while also doing something fantastic for nature.

This is a wonderful opportunity to find more out about this fascinating National Nature Reserve and the important wildlife that relies on this protected beach.

We will be cleaning the Hoverport and Pegwell beach which is accessed via a path by the Viking Ship and not via the KCC Country Park.

Families are welcome but children must be supervised at all times. Booking is required for beach clean.

What to bring: We’d recommend you pack a rucksack with a few essentials like sunscreen, waterproofs, hand sanitiser, and perhaps some snacks and a drink (in a reusable bottle, of course).

What to wear: If you're picking up litter with your hands it's worth wearing a strong pair of gloves - like gardening gloves - just to make sure you're protected. Sturdy shoes are a must for protection too.

(Note:  unfortunately the nearby picnic site 'cafe' & 'toilets' are CLOSED during the winter months).
