Join us for a guided walk of Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve, taking some time to observe the birds found there during winter. Your guide will be one of the reserve's dedicated volunteers, who knows exactly what to look out for!
With the trees having shed their leaves, this is a good time to see the regular woodland species including goldcrest and treecreeper. These are augmented by flocks of overwintering siskin, and there are regular sightings of redwing, brambling and redpoll. On the lakes, the resident ducks are joined by shoveler, gadwall and wigeon, whilst there is also the chance of seeing snipe and the elusive water rail.
We recommend you bring a pair of binoculars to make the most of this walk. It could be muddy underfoot, so please wear sturdy footwear.
Please be aware that the Visitor Centre is currently closed for refurbishment, so there will be no refreshments available and access to toilets may not be possbile. This walk is recommended for over 12s only.
