Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve is home to many bird species during spring; spend some time observing them on this guided walk.

Join us for a guided walk of Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve, taking some time to observe the birds found there during spring. Your guide will be one of the reserve's dedicated volunteers, who knows exactly what to look out for!

Whilst most of the wintering birds will have left, they will have been replaced by the summer migrants. In addition to the resident woodland birds, we should be able to hear the recently arrived warblers singing, and hopefully see martins, swifts and swallows feeding over the lakes. The breeding cycles of the grebes, herons, lapwing and little ringed plover should also be underway.

We recommend you bring a pair of binoculars to make the most of this walk. It could be muddy underfoot, so please wear sturdy footwear.

Please be aware that the Visitor Centre is currently closed for refurbishment, so refreshments are not available at the start or end of the walk- please bring a bottle of water with you.

This walk is recommended for over 12s only.

  • Parking

Please note that parking charges apply at Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve- card or app payments only.

This walk will last around 3-3.5 hours, with most of the time spent walking or standing.
