Free World Wetlands Day guided walk

Enjoy a FREE guided walk this World Wetland Day, to discover more about the wonderful winter wildlife at one of Kent’s most important coastal Nature Reserves. Learn more about how you can support us to protect our vulnerable migrant birds and seal communities, by supporting our ‘RETHINK SEALINK’ campaign. 

Join Kent Wildlife Trust Protected Area on World Wetlands Day for a free bookable guided walk at one of Kent’s most important coastal reserves and learn more about why wetlands are so important for coastal communities. Discover the wonderful bird and marine life that relies on these protected areas through the Winter. There will be the chance to learn about how you can support our important ‘Rethink Sealink campaign against the National Grid’s proposed electric cable route through this wildlife haven.

Tours will last approximately 2 hours.  

Some paths are narrow with rough terrain and will require use of stairs and kissing gate not suitable for wheelchair users. Please ensure you wear sturdy footwear (during periods of wet weather waterproof footwear is advisable) and wear clothing suitable for the weather conditions. Please bring binoculars if you have them.   

Families are welcome but children must be supervised.  

There are toilets at the main entrance to Pegwell Bay Country Park.
