Get WILD, get fundraising

We wouldn’t be able to achieve so much for wildlife in Kent without the support of incredible fundraisers across the county. Together, we can create a powerful groundswell of support for a climate-resilient Kent.

Have you ever thought about fundraising for Kent Wildlife Trust?

Families who fundraised by baking bison cookies and hosting bison banquets raised vital funds to support the bison herd in settling into West Blean and Thornden Woods, while those who took part in Big Wild Walk raised money to help maintain our reserves as wildlife havens.

Want to join the growing community helping to create a Wilder Kent? Here are some easy fundraising ideas to get you started:

Host a coffee morning

Bake some wildlife cookies or delicious butterfly cakes to entice more people to support wildlife. This can be a wonderful opportunity to get your favourite people, colleagues and wider community together to catch up over a coffee whilst raising money for a Wilder Kent. The more treats and delicious bakes you offer, the more money you are likely to raise!

Host a seed bomb crafting session

Sowing wildflowers in your garden provides vital resources to support a wide range of insects that couldn’t otherwise survive in urban or built-up areas.

Have fun getting messy with a great activity that is not only enjoyable, but a great way to plant native wildflowers and grasses which help to protect local biodiversity.

Hold a clothing swap

An estimated 350,000 tonnes of clothing are binned in the UK each year. Every time you throw away an item of clothing, it’s harming the Earth and your wallet.

Host your own clothing swap fundraiser: get together with friends and family to swap unwanted items so they can continue to be used, helping to reduce waste whilst doing something good for our planet.
