Join us in creating a Wilder Kent
Who we are
Kent Wildlife Trust is the leading conservation charity for the county of Kent.
Our vision is for a better, wilder future. We engage with politicians, business leaders, landowners and communities so we can all work together to protect wildlife.
How we're run
The governance and strategic leadership of Kent Wildlife Trust is overseen by a board of voluntary trustees. Our trustees are all elected from our membership and bring a range of experience and expertise to the organisation.
How we're funded
Our work to save wildlife and wild places, as well as bring people closer to nature, relies on the financial support of our members and donors. Much of our income comes from our members - and we are grateful to every one of you for supporting Kent Wildlife Trust. Thank you.
We care about wildlife
Wildlife is in crisis. The natural world isn't just something for us to enjoy; it sustains us. The decline of nature puts our very survival and prosperity under threat.
It doesn't have to be like this; if we act now, we can restore nature by creating:
- Wilder towns & cities
- Wilder woodlands & grasslands
- Wilder rivers
- Wilder coasts & seas
Our Values
Passion
We are passionate about nature and passionate about people's experience of nature.
Inspiration
We inspire people to act in ways which benefit the natural world.
Collaboration
We work with individuals, organisations and communities to deliver value to the economy, to people and to wildlife.
Ambition
Our desire to secure a strong future for the people and wildlife of Kent is steadfast and enduring.
Information
Science, evidence and data underpin our thinking.
Our 25-year vision
To create a Wilder Kent where abundant wildlife has been restored across 30% of land and sea and is valued as a critical human life support system.
Our Mission
To work with people to restore, save and enhance our natural heritage.
Kent Wildlife Trust is working to ensure that our wildlife is protected and restored, now and in the future. We work to help organisations, people and communities connect to nature and care for our natural places.
Through membership and wider communication, we aim to support people in developing a lifelong relationship with Kent Wildlife Trust and provide opportunities for people to take action for wildlife.
