Wilder Kent Safari: Walking with Cows at Heather Corrie Vale
Heather Corrie Vale,
Tinkerpot Lane,West Kingsdown,
East Hill,
Sevenoaks, Kent, TN15 6AE
About the event
Spend a couple of hours with our Area Manager for West Kent, meeting some of Heather Corrie Vale's resident cattle up close.
On this safari you'll learn all about the characteristics of different breeds of cattle, and the roles they play managing the reserve for the benefit of wildlife. The Wilder Grazing team know these animals the best, and they'll show you how to read reaction and body language cues. This will increase your confidence and understanding about how to behave around cattle, how much space to give, and when the best idea is to choose a different path if you ever come across a free roaming herd when you are out in the countryside.
It is expected that you will see longhorn and Highland cattle on this event, however please be aware that our livestock is moved between reserves for the benefit of the land and the animals, sometimes at short notice.
Tickets for this event have been released early for Kent Wildlife Trust members. Please enter your promo code to release member tickets. Tickets will be available for general sale from 27th August.
