About the reserve

The original Brenchley Wood Nature Reserve covers about 8 hectares of relic High Weald woodland between Brenchley and Pembury. This secluded reserve is rich in wildlife. The woods are dominated by majestic beech and oak trees. A small area of heathland to the north has been restored from pine plantation and low shrubby heather and dwarf gorse is now returning.
