Nextdoor Nature is a project in Dover that aims to empower communities to take action for nature where they live and work. The project brings communities together and uses community organising to support people to develop the skills they need to act as environmental champions in their local areas.

What is Community Organising?
Community organising is a new approach for Kent Wildlife Trust and involves bringing people together who are experiencing similar issues or injustices and empowering them to act against these and create a meaningful difference. Community organisers will listen and connect people together who can work together to resulting in louder collective voice that is more likely to be heard. By introducing this way of working, we hope to see a domino effect of people taking action for nature in their local area long-term.
